RAGING THUNDER CALL CENTRE

Raging Thunder is a far north Queensland tourism operation specialising in adventure packages such as white water rafting, hot air ballooning and kayaking.

Callers are directed to a central reservation office for bookings of their chosen adventure. These may take place in one of several distant locations such as Kuranda, Tully or the Barron River.

Prior to the installation of The Telequip system, callers were left waiting as there was no queue-in system. Many telephone inquiries were left unanswered, resulting in lost business.

Management had no means of providing performance analysis for staff, nor was there any prioritising of callers. The reservations system provided an inaccurate marketing performance analysis.

Since the installation of The Telequip Ericsson Business Phone 250 System, the Raging Thunder Call Centre is able to provide queues for Raging Thunder, Fitzroy Island and VIP Agents, each with their own personalised greetings.

The Call Centre Supervisor Software Package is commissioned to provide a real time display of call traffic of all agent's screens - a virtual wall board. This allows planning of staffing requirements, tour popularity and forward planning.

The Call Centre Assistant allows each agent to see the name and number of ALL Calls in the queue and if authorised, force VIP callers to the head of the queue.

Future expansion is planned for an IP link to Fitzroy Island and a CTI "Screen Pop" to automatically insert tour desk details into the reservations system.


PEPPERS LINKS RESORT

Telequip Business Phone Hospitality Solutions.

Peppers Links Resort is a premier beachside golf resort located in beautiful Port Douglas, North Queensland.  It was opened in October 2000.  As part of the extensive luxury fit-out of the resort, the owners chose to instal a Telequip System.  The system includes:

  • Front Office system interfaced with the popular "Hirum Front Office and Trust Accounting" package.  (Telequip can also provide you with interfaces
    to Fidelio and other popular PMS systems).

  • Integrated Cordless includes the business phone portable handset allowing staff to remain in constant contact throughout the resort.
  • Guest names are displayed on the cordless handsets to enable a personal level of service, expected in a resort of this calibre.

  • The ability to divert reception calls to staff cordless handsets, particularly useful when operating on minimum staff levels (i.e.: after hours and weekends).  This enables staff to escort guests to their rooms and will ultimately lead to cost savings for the company.

  • Integrated Voicemail allows after hours callers to reach a desired guest's room, or reception.  This facility is expected in the international arena.

  • Guest Voicemail allowing callers to leave a private message without reception intervention.
  • Guest-Info which is a recorded message offering updated information
    services on local weather, trips available, reef conditions and resort activities.

  • Wake up calls with easy to follow instructions available in three languages.

  • A flexible customised room numbering system allowing dual key occupancy for a variety of suites.

  • Access by housekeeping staff to room handsets allowing easy and fast
    reprogramming of the system for new guests (This service can also be done
    remotely via the front office interface).

  • The provision of a tour/golf bookings hotline number in the guest directory to ensure commissions stay with the resort booking agency via the front office tour desk.
